StanChart, CGC sign portfolio guarantee deal

PETALING JAYA: Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Bhd and Standard Chartered Saadiq Malaysia Bhd have inked a portfolio guarantee agreement with partner Credit Guarantee Corp Malaysia Bhd (CGC) for a new RM300mil tranche.

The agreement will make banking facilities available to growing small and medium enterprises by supporting them in new market expansion and digital transformation.

The agreement will be divided into two segments, namely RM200mil in conventional and RM100mil in Islamic banking facilities.
