Hiap Huat JV to collaborate on storage tanks for liquid bulk terminal

KUALA LUMPUR: Hiap Huat Holdings Bhd's 60%-owned subsidiary KL Bunkering (M) Sdn Bhd has entered into a collaboration agreement with Qastalani Sdn Bhd for the construction of two bitumen storage tanks within the former company's liquid bulk terminal at West Port, Klang.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the group said Qastalani will construct the two 7,625 cubic metre storage tanks and then transferred to KL Bunkering for operations on behalf of Qastani for a period of 46 years.

It said the initial phase will utilise about 39% of the KL Bunkering's terminal's capacity, with an option to expand up to 37,800 cubic metres.
