MMAG enters cargo interline deal with Teleport

PETALING JAYA: MMAG Holdings Bhd subsidiary MJets Air Sdn Bhd has entered into a cargo interline agreement with Teleport Everywhere Pte Ltd, an integrated logistics solutions provider and logistics venture of Capital A Bhd, to enhance regional air cargo services by utilising AirAsia’s extensive network across Asia.

The interline partnership aims to optimise cargo operations and improve the efficiency and reach of air cargo services across Asia, MMAG said in a statement.

“By combining the extensive networks and logistical capabilities of MJets Air and Teleport, this partnership is poised to significantly enhance regional connectivity, streamline cargo processes and support the growing demands of eCommerce and other industries reliant on efficient air freight solutions,” it stated.

MMAG group is a full-fledged supply chain service provider offering services covering first, mid and last-mile delivery solutions from Kuala Lumpur International Airport or KLIA.

It delivers integrated cargo airline solutions, encompassing commercial cargo operations, ground handling, an oceanic transshipment hub, and on-demand cargo depot services.

Pursuant to the interline agreement, the parties have agreed to transport each other’s shipments on specific routes in accordance with the charges and other terms and condition as stated in the agreement.

The charges will be determined based on the actual completed transport by each party during the duration and validity of the agreement.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, MMAG noted the interline agreement shall be effective from July 1, 2024 to July 31, 2025, with the option for renewal for an additional one-year period to be agreed upon by the parties.

MJets Air and Teleport have been strengthening their collaboration over the past few months. In May 2024, the companies signed an initial charter agreement, laying a strong foundation for their partnership.

“This new interline partnership, established within just two months of the initial agreement, further solidifies their strategic alliances within the Capital A group, reinforcing their mutual commitment to enhancing air cargo services across the region,” MMAG’s statement added.
