PETALING JAYA: The highly anticipated inaugural Putra Brand Colloquium, a premier marketing summit featuring Putra Brand Award (PBA) winners and seasoned industry leaders, is set to take place next month.

This marks the first-ever marketing strategies summit for the Putra Brand Series since its inception 15 years ago.

Datuk Johnny Mun (pic), the award organising chairman and senior advisor of the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Malaysia (4As), told StarBiz that the symposium represents the evolution of the Putra Brand Series.

“It serves as a platform for industry leaders to share their tried-and-proven strategies on making their brands the successes that they are. This is the natural extension and expansion of the PBAs, proof that the benefits of the Putra Brand credo do not end at the awards gala night”, said Mun.

The one-day symposium, scheduled for Aug 28 at the Avante Hotel in Petaling Jaya, is expected to attract close to 300 attendees, including PBA winners and industry leaders.

The theme for this year’s event, “Elevate Your Brand,” aims to highlight the strategies necessary to uplift brands in the ever-changing marketing landscape.

“The colloquium would provide attendees the opportunity to engage with industry leaders, drawing from their proven tactics and leveraging their success stories to create their own.

“This isn’t merely the coming together of top minds. It’s not just another gathering of future-shaping concepts. It’s the first harvest of proven industry strategies from the best of the PBA winners,” Mun said.

The opening keynote address at the event would be presented by Matrade senior director Raja Badrulnizam Raja Kamalzaman. The closing keynote address would be by Datuk Lai Shu Wei, chief marketing and sales officer of Sime Darby Properties.

The topics to be discussed include Navigating The Evolving Marketing Landscape, Trends Shaping The Future Of Marketing, The Role of Technology In Modern Marketing and Building Brand Resilience in a Dynamic Environment.

Also among the topics for discussion are Harnessing The Power Of Data In Marketing, Embracing Innovation and Creativity in Marketing, Adapting Marketing Strategies For Different Platforms And Audiences, Overcoming Common Marketing Challenges, and Crafting A Winning Marketing Strategy For Tomorrow.

Among the speakers sharing their expert views are TIME dotCom group head of marketing Andrew Yeoh, Reckitt marketing director of Malaysia and Singapore Tiffany Tang, S P Setia chief commercial officer Christinne Lim, Carlsberg Malaysia marketing director Olga Pulyaeva and UEM Sunrise former chief marketing officer Kenny Wong

Also among the speakers are Telekom Malaysia head of brand and marketing Andrew Pinto, U Mobile chief marketing officer Navin Manian, Heineken Malaysia marketing director Willemijn Sneep, Friesland Campina marketing director Lim Imun, Prudential Assurance (M) Bhd chief marketing and partnerships distribution officer Eric Wong and Haleon former general manager Bryan Wong.

The panel discussions would be moderated by Astro chief sales and marketing officer Tai Kam Leong and The Star’s managing editor Brian Martin.

Attendees can expect to walk away from the summit with the ability to conduct strategically sound dialogues with colleagues and stakeholders and to provide more effective marketing and business solutions through a greater understanding of key strategic brand planning tools.
