HB Global names Johol ruling chief as chairman


PETALING JAYA: HB Global Ltd has appointed Johol ruling chief (Undang Luak Johol) Datuk Johan Pahlawan Lela Perkasa Setiawan Datuk Muhammad Abdullah as its new chairman.

In a statement, the frozen food manufacturer said Muhammad Abdullah replaced Chan Kay Ding, who resigned due to personal commitments after serving the company for five months since February 2022.

Muhammad Abdullah said the company’s management is committed to enhancing its competitiveness in the market by introducing innovative business ideas and embracing advanced technologies.

“We plan to further expand our downstream food and beverage businesses to optimise profit margins and grow our revenue base.

“Furthermore, the group will explore upstream expansion in the fields of agriculture and aquaculture.

“This strategy aims to improve production and cost efficiency, ensure sustainable raw material supply as well as to explore new market opportunities to grow new revenue streams,” he said in a statement.

Additionally, HB Global appointed Chin Nyat Fwu and Elizabbeth Siew as directors.
