Circuit breakers activated on South Korea's junior KOSDAQ, trade halted

SEOUL: Trading on South Korea's KOSDAQ market was halted for 20 minutes from 1:56 p.m. local time, after the Korea Exchange said it had activated circuit breakers.

The trading curbs were activated after the index fell more than 8%, despite earlier sidecar curbs that had halted programme trading for five minutes. - Reuters
