PETALING JAYA: Industry leaders will share their views on how to elevate brands in a challenging business environment.
They will delve on various aspects including technology, marketing trends, innovation, creativity and marketing strategies.
Their views would be presented at the inaugural Putra Brand Colloquium, a premier marketing summit featuring Putra Brand Award winners and industry leaders on Aug 28 here.
Malaysia External Trade Development Corp senior director Raja Badrulnizam Raja Kamalzaman will deliver the keynote address at the event while Sime Darby Properties chief marketing and sales officer Datuk Lai Shu Wei will present the closing keynote address.
The topics to be discussed include navigating the evolving marketing landscape, trends shaping the future of marketing, role of technology in modern marketing and building brand resilience in a dynamic environment.
Also among the topics for discussion are harnessing the power of data in marketing, embracing innovation and creativity in marketing, adapting marketing strategies for different platforms, overcoming common marketing challenges, and crafting a winning marketing strategy.

With more than 20 years experience across the client and agency spectrum, Yeoh has managed brands such as Ikea, KFC, Uniqlo, BMW, and Disney, both locally and regionally. Prior to Time, his experience in marketing and strategy leadership roles at IBM, P&G, Interbrand, Isobar, and DDB has placed him as one of 2020’s Top 25 innovators in Asia-Pacific by the Innovator 25 Global Rankings.
Tang has extensive experience from local, regional, and global roles in both commercial and innovation development.
She was awarded the Malaysian chief marketing officer Awards 2023, along with multiple marketing accolades since 2010, notably the Putra Brand Awards for brands such as Dettol, Strepsils, and Gaviscon.
The achievements underscore her exceptional capabilities in driving impactful marketing strategies and building strong brand affinity among consumers for diverse categories like nutrition, household, healthcare, as well as personal care and hygiene.
In her previous roles over the last 20 years, S P Setia’s Lim pioneered content marketing to spotlight key content that set Astro apart.
As vice-president in content strategy and corporate marketing, she drove customer segmentation and maintained positive return on investment for content investments.
Having full purview over marketing as Astro’s marketing director, she had launched the Astro Ultrabox, HD, Astro Go, Oh My English!, FIFA WorldCup, and the highly-anticipated CNY celebrations, before her last role as CEO of Astro Go Shop.
Carlsberg’s Olga is a seasoned marketing professional with vast experience gained across Europe.
She has worked with the Carlsberg Group since 2012, imparting her expertise and flexing her marketing muscles across diverse markets including Russia, Switzerland, France, Croatia, the UK, Portugal, Bulgaria, and Poland. Prior to joining Carlsberg, she braved the world of advertising in the Big Apple.
Sneep’s extensive experience in the Heineken Group includes her tenure as the head of marketing for the Gulf Region at Sirocco FZCO, Heineken’s joint venture with Emirates Group, from 2017 to 2020.
Prior to joining Heineken, she was responsible for marketing and brand activation at Danone Switzerland.
She further honed her marketing skills at C1000 Retail in the Netherlands, following five years of advertising experience in Amsterdam.
Often described as a marketing maven, an analytical storyteller, and a tennis enthusiast, Navin joined U Mobile in late 2021.
Navin used data to create personalised customer experiences and has supercharged the product portfolio, rolled out 5G-ready plans, and driven innovation in broadband and enterprise solutions. His penchant for numbers and knack for storytelling had also helped him energise the Hotlink business at Maxis.
Imun has more than 20 years of experience, primarily in the food and beverage industry. Her focus is on both brand and product marketing, and more recently on gaining commercial experience.
Her career has taken her through multinational corporations such as Procter & Gamble, Coca-Cola, Fonterra, Samsung, Munchworld Marketing, and Campbell’s.
She was previously the international marketing manager in FrieslandCampina Business Development Unit Sdn Bhd.
Prudential’s Wong was also instrumental in developing a winning partnership with the Employees Provident Fund for the distribution of life insurance solutions.
He has over 30 years of solid customer, marketing, and sales experience across fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and financial services in regional and local lead roles across Asia-Pacific.
Under Pinto’s leadership, Unifi received several awards in 2023, which included the Platinum Putra Brand Award, Malaysia’s Most Meaningful Brand, Kantar and World Branding Awards.
Prior to leading Telekom Malaysia, he was head of marketing at Mudah.my, earning multiple industry accolades. He also worked at McCann Worldgroup, specialising in brand development and engagement, and was at Isobar Malaysia as general manager.
With a career of over 36 years, Kenny has amassed extensive management experience across various sectors including FMCG, telecommunications, motion pictures and film exhibition, aviation, people development, and property development.
His senior leadership roles across Asean, navigating diverse markets such as Thailand, Singapore, the Philippines, Cambodia, Myanmar, and Malaysia, earned him the recognition as the best marketer in data and technology marketing at the Malaysian CMO Awards in 2019.
Bryan has over 30 years of experience leading commercial functions in sales, marketing, and general management in P&G, GSK, and Haleon.
While his career started in the Philippines, it has since taken him across the United States, Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia. The last six years he has been general manager of GSK Consumer/Haleon’s Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei.
Under his leadership, his team oversaw iconic consumer healthcare brands like Panadol, Sensodyne, Centrum, and Scott’s.
