MyEG expects to continue introducing innovative services


PETALING JAYA: My E.G. Services Bhd (MYEG) expects to continue introducing innovative services by leveraging on new technologies, specifically blockchain or Web 3.0 in Malaysia as well as globally, to drive our organic growth for the current financial year.

In a Bursa Malaysia filing, the company said its net profit in the second quarter ended June 30, 2024, rose to RM165.42mil from RM111.56mil in the previous corresponding period, while revenue grew to RM242.28mil from RM184.88mil a year earlier.

This was attributed to contributions from services from MYEG’s Zetrix blockchain platform such as ZCert and Digital ID registration and transaction, as well as contribution from the sale of Zetrix tokens.

Basic earnings per share stood at 2.20 sen versus 1.50 sen previously.

For the six-months period ended June 30, 2024, MYEG’s net profit rose to RM321.37mil from RM217.49mil in the previous corresponding period, while revenue improved to RM475.24mil from RM358.10mil a year earlier.
