Notion VTec short-selling suspended again


About RM659mil of Notion’s market capitalisation has been wiped out since the start of August.

PETALING JAYA: Hard disk drive maker Notion VTEC Bhd’s share price fell for the seventh straight day by 17.59% on yesterday, triggering a suspension of intraday short-selling (IDSS) due to breaches of the price limit.

This was the third time IDSS for Notion was suspended this month. With the share price falling to 89 sen yesterday, the stock has suffered a 58.6% drop so far this month.

About RM659mil of Notion’s market capitalisation has been wiped out since the start of August.

Bursa Malaysia said the IDSS was suspended temporarily yesterday as Notion’s shares dropped more than 15% from the reference price.

The stock exchange operator said the short-selling for Notion under the IDSS will resume today.
