Chin Chee Seong elected SME Association national president

KUALA LUMPUR: The SME Association of Malaysia has elected Chin Chee Seong as its national president for the 2024-2026 term at the annual general meeting.

Chin, who was formerly the national secretary general of the association, will be taking over the duties from acting national president Datin Dorph Peng Wen Yin.

Meanwhile, Datuk Sri Ricky Yaw Chan Choy, formerly a national vice-president, has been elected national deputy president.

In his inaugural speech, Chin reaffirmed the association's commitment to cultivating a vibrant and sustainable ecosystem for SMEs, which serve as the backbone of Malaysia’s economy.

Chin urged the newly elected council and all members to uphold the Association’s legacy of excellence, while intensifying efforts to drive innovation, expand opportunities, and advocate for policies that support the advancement of the industry.
