KUALA LUMPUR: Stocks to watch on Thursday include EP Manufacturing Bhd (EPMB), Bermaz Auto Bhd (BAuto), Mikro MSC Bhd, Kerjaya Prospek Group Bhd, Citaglobal Bhd, Alpha IVF Group Bhd and IHH Healthcare Bhd.

EPMB is raising RM39.65mil through a share placement representing 30% of its capital, with allocations split equally between Mutual Concept Sdn Bhd and Bermaz Auto Bhd’s subsidiary, Bermaz Capital Sdn Bhd.

BAuto’s net profit fell 29.94% to RM70.22mil in the first quarter from RM100.22mil a year earlier, due to lower sales and increased competition.

Mikro is proposing to diversify its business to include the design, manufacture, and installation of signs and advertising displays, as well as the provision of interior fit-out services.

Kerjaya Prospek’s wholly-owned subsidiary Kerjaya Prospek (M) Sdn Bhd has secured a contract from Mega Legacy (M) Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of UEM Sunrise Bhd, for a building project in Batu, Kuala Lumpur, for RM292.8mil.

Citaglobal Bhd has secured two construction-related contracts for jobs in Sarawak totalling RM50.95mil.

IHH’s indirect wholly-owned subsidiary, Pantai Holdings Sdn Bhd, has lodged documents with the Securities Commission to establish sukuk wakalah programmes of up to RM15bil.

Alpha IVF’s subsidiary Alpha International (Shanghai) Medical Consulting Ltd has launched a new operation in Shanghai, China, to capitalise on the country's rapidly growing in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) market and expand the group's regional presence.

Overnight, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.31% to 40,861.71, the S&P 500 gained 1.07% to 5,554.13 and the Nasdaq Composite gained 2.17% to 17,395.53.
