SDCG partners with Serikandi to expand solar solutions in Brunei


KUALA LUMPUR: Solar District Cooling Group Bhd’s (SDCG) wholly-owned subsidiary, Solar District Cooling Sdn Bhd, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Serikandi Oil Field Services Sdn Bhd to expand into Brunei.

In a statement, SDCG said the collaboration aims to strengthen and expand business opportunities in solar air-conditioning, solar thermal systems, and energy-saving services in Brunei Darussalam.

This strategic collaboration will also include the provision and maintenance of BMS, gas-fired chillers, and chilled water systems.

SDCG managing director Edison Kong said this MoU represents an exciting opportunity for SDC to expand its footprint into Brunei in partnership with Serikandi.

“Together, we are committed to introducing advanced energy solutions such as solar air-conditioning, solar thermal systems, and comprehensive building management services that can significantly enhance energy efficiency for clients across Brunei.

“We believe this collaboration will provide a platform to share knowledge and innovate in the renewable energy sector, driving sustainable practices,” he said.

The MoU will allow both companies to share information and expertise and work together on potential business opportunities in Brunei. It highlights their commitment to promoting sustainability in energy management and providing clients with reliable, energy-efficient solutions.

SDCG closed flat at 46.5 sen, giving it a market capitalisation of RM197.1mil.
