Aurora Mulia disposes of entire stake in Media Prima, ceases to be substantial shareholder


KUALA LUMPUR: Aurora Mulia Sdn Bhd, a company linked to tycoon Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar Albukhary, has disposed of 353.81 million shares in Media Prima Bhd, ceasing to be a substantial shareholder in the company.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, Media Prima stated that the deemed interest pursuant to Section 8(4) of the Companies Act 2016 has ceased, indicating a significant update regarding the company’s compliance with corporate governance regulations.

According to the company’s Annual Report 2023, Aurora Mulia holds 31.90 per cent or 353.81 million shares in Media Prima. - Bernama
