Tuju Setia bags RM317.56mil hospital construction job


PETALING JAYA: Tuju Setia Bhd has accepted a letter of acceptance (LOA) from Ampang 210 Sdn Bhd for the proposed design and build of Block C, Gleneagles Hospital at Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur, worth RM317.56mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Tuju Setia said the contract is for 37 months, tentatively scheduled to commence in October 2024.

Tuju Setia said the construction project will be undertaken by Tuju Setia in collaboration with GPQ Sdn Bhd, which is a subsidiary of Terengganu Incorporated Sdn Bhd and is principally involved in the business of construction works, including the construction of hospitals.

“The new medical block will be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities aimed at providing patients with highly specialised care in emerging sub-specialties such as micro and hand, foot and ankle, spine surgeries.

“Additionally, it is expected to incorporate green building features for better energy efficiency and indoor environment quality.”

Tuju Setia is a B29 registered builder with the Construction Industry Development Board, which permits it to undertake construction of hospitals and healthcare facilities.
