Petron: No disruption to petroleum products supply amid refinery maintenance

KUALA LUMPUR: Petron Malaysia Refining and Marketing Bhd's (Petron Malaysia) refinery at Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan, will undergo a maintenance shutdown for eight weeks to facilitate repairs to its furnaces.

Despite the shutdown, the oil company confirms that the supply of petroleum products to its network of Petron-branded petrol stations, its liquefied petroleum gas customers and commercial accounts will continue as usual.

"While the financial impact cannot be estimated at the present moment, we can confirm that the cost of the repair at the refinery is not considered material," it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

Petron Malaysia added it will make a further announcement when the refinery is operational after the repairs. - Bernama
