LKL inks hospital furniture deal

PETALING JAYA: LKL International Bhd had entered into a joint venture (JV) agreement with Karl Group to engage in the manufacturing hospital furniture in the Philippines.

This was following an memorandum of understanding inked between the two parties to explore investment opportunities to enhance healthcare infrastructure in the region.

According to its filing with Bursa Malaysia, the agreement was made to formalise and outline the terms and conditions of the JV.

LKL will hold the majority of the shareholding proportion in the JV company with a 70% stake, with Karl Group holding the remaining 30%.

The JV company will focus on the development, manufacturing, and sale of hospital furniture, as well as applying for all necessary licences and permits to operate in the Philippines.
