SC Estate Builder to partner JK Spark in bid for Sabah LSS power plant project


KUALA LUMPUR: SC Estate Builder Bhd has entered into a joint venture with JK Spark Sdn Bhd to bid as a consortium for the large scale solar power plants for Sabah (LSS Sabah) project by the Energy Commission of Sabah.

Under the terms of the collaboration, the partners will participate in projects with a system size ranging from 1MWac to 15 MWac.

JKS will hold a 60% stake in the JV while SC Estate Builder will own the remaining 40%.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, SC Estate Builder said it brings to the partnership expertise in investment holding and financial management, while JKS contributes specialised knowledge in solar power projects, building construction, and renewable energy infrastructure.

"This collaboration enables both parties to align their strategic objectives and capitalise on their core competencies," said the group.
