Exsim wins RM60mil fit-out works contract


PETALING JAYA: Exsim Hospitality Bhd (EHB) has accepted a letter of award from Totalbuildz Sdn Bhd in respect of the development of 294 rooms @ Empire City at Damansara Perdana, Selangor, worth RM60mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, EHB said the contract is for the purpose of designing and building of architecture, interior design and fit-out works to guest rooms.

“The aforementioned works are expected to be completed over an 18 month period and is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of the company throughout the duration of the contract.

In the same statement, EHB managing director said: “With the contract secured today adding to the ones which have been secured thus far, we are confident that we have a sufficient order book that should provide us a steady income stream while we build up and rejuvenate our hospitality business segment.

“Notwithstanding, we are still on the lookout to further boost the contracts on hand for our fit-out business.”

The contract win follows on from the company’s recent contract award earlier in the week amounting to RM47.37mil.
