HPP to focus on cost optimisation

PETALING JAYA: Packaging services provider HPP Holdings Bhd, which net profit more than halved in the first quarter of financial year 2025 (1Q25), will continue focusing on enhancing production capabilities, improving product quality, and cost optimisation.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the group noted potential sales growth in paper pulp moulded packaging products, “as global demand for green or sustainable packaging continues to rise.”

“By maintaining focus on environmental, social, and governance initiatives, along with ongoing active engagement in business development, the group aims to attract more new customers and explore business opportunities,” it said.

For 1Q25, the company recorded revenue of RM16.65mil, down from RM19.01mil in the previous corresponding quarter, due to lower sales in the electrical and electronic and sheath contraceptive industries.
