Yinson unit’s FPSO vessel achieves first oil

PETALING JAYA: Yinson Production, a unit of Yinson Holdings Bhd announces its Maria Quiteria floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel achieved first oil on Oct 15, 2024, followed by a successful 72-hour test, marking the commencement of its firm charter.

Subsequent to this, Yinson Production will be paid contracted day rates for a period of 22½ years until 2047.

FPSO Maria Quiteria is the second asset delivered by Yinson Production for its client Petrobras, following the delivery of FPSO Anna Nery in May 2023.

“We have been steadily growing our operations in Brazil over the past few years, and with FPSO Maria Quiteria joining our fleet, we look forward to further contributing to the country’s energy needs and help drive Brazil’s economic and communities’ growth,” said Yinson Production chief executive officer Flemming Gronnegaard in a statement.
