AWC wins RM9.5mil contract for Sungai Melaka immigration complex

KUALA LUMPUR: AWC Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Ambang Wira Facilities Sdn Bhd (AWFSB) has secured a RM9.43mil contract from Melaka’s Public Works Department (JKRM).

In a statement, AWC said the contract is for the provision of facilities management and maintenance service for immigration, customs, quarantine and security complex at Sungai Melaka.

The contract is for a period of 60 months, starting from Nov 1, 2024, to Oct 31, 2029.

AWC said the new contract positively contributes to its order book, which exceeds RM700mil, while its tender book remains healthy at over RM1bil across all business divisions.

AWC group CEO/president Datuk Ahmad Kabeer stated that this is the group's second win for its facilities division in just a week, reinforcing confidence in the numerous opportunities within the facilities management sector.

“Public infrastructure and government buildings requires ongoing maintenance and must be kept to the highest standards, and we are proud to be able to provide this service.”
