MNRB rises in early trade among the top gainers on Bursa


KUALA LUMPUR: MNRB Holdings Bhd's share rose over 6% in early trade on Thursday, making it one of the top gainers on Bursa Malaysia after reporting higher net profit for the second quarter ended September 30 (2Q25).

The insurer and reinsurer rose 13 sen, or 6.16%, to RM2.24 at 9:36 am. The counter has increased by 84% so far this year.

MNRB’s net profit more than doubled to RM92.7mil in 2Q25 compared with RM41.6mil in the same quarter last year.

Revenue, however, dipped to RM974.3mil against RM977.5mil in the same corresponding quarter last year.

In the first six months, MNRB posted a net profit of RM184.9mil, up 66.4% from RM111.1mil while revenue fall 0.4% to RM1.91bil from RM1.92bil previously.
