TAS Offshore wins contracts worth RM49mil


PETALING JAYA: TAS Offshore Bhd has secured shipbuilding contracts for eight units of tugboat with a value of approximately RM49.1mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, TAS Offshore said the contracts were signed with new customers from Indonesia. “These vessels are expected to be delivered in the second quarter of 2025.

“The revenue generated from the contracts is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of TAS Group for the financial year ending May 31, 2025 (FY25).”

For FY24, TAS Offshore’s net profit dipped to RM9.61mil from RM15.28mil in the previous corresponding period, while revenue rose to RM72.33mil from RM36.13mil a year earlier.

The firm said it remains optimistic about its prospects as it is well-positioned to benefit from the steady development of the mining industry.
