Texchem 3Q net profit at RM1mil


PETALING JAYA: Texchem Resources Bhd is confident that it will remain resilient, underpinned by a more favourable business environment and better consumer sentiment.

For the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2024 (3Q24), the group recorded a net profit of RM1.1mil from a net loss of RM750,000 in 3Q23.

This translated to an earnings per share of 0.95 sen from a loss per share of 0.64 sen.

Revenue was also up by 15% year-on-year (y-o-y) to RM280.8mil in 3Q24, largely driven by continued improvements from the industrial and polymer engineering divisions.

For the nine months ended Sept 30, 2024, Texchem posted a net profit of RM749,000 from a net loss of RM7.3mil previously. Revenue for the period increased by 13% y-o-y to RM851.2mil.
