Senai Airport City, Chenbro Micom sign SPA for 6.09ha industrial land

JOHOR BAHRU: Senai Airport City Sdn Bhd and Chenbro Malaysia Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Taiwanese computer servers and peripheral products manufacturer Chenbro Micom Co Ltd, has entered into a sale and purchase agreement (SPA) for about 6.09 hectares of industrial land at Senai Airport City Free Industrial Zone.

The signing ceremony was held today at MMC Corporation Bhd's headquarters attended by Senai Airport City chairman Tan Sri Che Khalib Mohamad Noh, Senai Airport City chief executive officer Gan Seng Keong and Chenbro Micom chairman Maggi Chen.

"The establishment of Chenbro, which is an alliance to the technology giants in the artificial intelligence (AI) and information and communication technology (ICT) industry creating comprehensive technology solutions is in tandem with our strategy to further enhance this current industry cluster in Senai Airport City,” Che Khalib said in a statement today.

Meanwhile, Chen said Chenbro would actively continue to create global localised production with lean technological capabilities and low-carbon green facilities for the rising demand of the AI industry.

To date, Senai Airport City has developed Phase 1 and 2, totalling approximately 607.02 hectares of industrial development and is ready to launch its Phase 3 of approximately 14.64 hectares, providing ready infrastructure for more quality investments in 2025 with final stage negotiations with numerous high-value foreign direct investments. - Bernama
