Datasonic acquires 51% stake in ICT firm


PETALING JAYA: Datasonic Bhd is acquiring a 51% stake in information communications technology (ICT) firm Innov8tif Holdings Sdn Bhd from Revenue Group Bhd for RM40mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Datasonic said the proposed acquisition represents a strategic move by the company to acquire the readily available digital identity assurance and digital onboarding businesses of Innov8tif group to complement and enhance the group’s existing business as an ICT solutions provider.

“Following the proposed acquisition, Datasonic would be positioned to provide services across the identity assurance lifecycle from manufacturing to final authentication involving technologies such as chip, finger print, facial and iris identity assurance, in physical to digital formats, encapsulating “a total complete solution.”
