Sapura Energy bags contract from PETRONAS Carigali


PETALING JAYA: Sapura Energy Bhd has been awarded a contract from PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd for the provision of Pan Malaysia offshore maintenance, construction, modification and hook-up and commissioning services.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Sapura Energy said the contract is for Package C2 (Sarawak Asset (SKA) – Oil)

It said the contract was awarded in the third quarter of 2024 for a period of five years from the effective date of the contract.

In terms of value, Sapura Energy said the contract is a call-out contract with agreed unit rates.

“The scope of work is for the provision of manpower, tools, equipment, materials, consumables and other related services necessary for all work related to hook-up and commissioning brownfield and greenfield.

This, the company said, includes project management services, supervision and construction personnel, onshore prefabrication and installation, engineering management, procurement, offshore fabrication, installation and commissioning and provision of third-party services.

“The contract will not have any effect on the share capital and shareholding structure of Sapura Energy. The contract, however, is expected to contribute positively to the earnings of the group for the financial year ending Jan 31, 2025 and the subsequent years.
