Paramount upbeat on sales performance


PETALING JAYA: Paramount Corp Bhd remains optimistic that its sales will continue to be strong for the rest of the year, backed by record launch of properties of RM2bil in gross development value for the first nine months of 2024.

Going into the final quarter of the year, the group said, in a filing with Bursa Malaysia, that its directors expect the financial performance for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2024 to be satisfactory.

For the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2024, Paramount Corp’s net profit slipped to RM16.39mil from RM18.94mil in the previous corresponding period, while revenue rose to RM273.53mil from RM266.79mil a year earlier

It declared a second interim dividend of three sen per share, payable on Dec 26, to shareholders whose names appear on the record of depositors on Dec 11. For the nine-month ended Sept 30, its net profit dropped to RM48.33mil from RM54.64mil in the previous corresponding period
