Datasonic gets two RM81mil job extensions


PETALING JAYA: Datasonic Group Bhd has received and accepted two letters of extension from the Home Affairs Ministry for the comprehensive maintenance services of card personalisation centres and for the supply of MyKad, MyTentera, MyPOCA raw cards and consumables, totalling RM81.24mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Datasonic said the maintenance services of card personalisation centres contract will be for a period of 12 months commencing from Dec 1, 2024 to Nov 30, 2025 for an additional fourth contract value of RM21.39mil.

Meanwhile, the second contract extension is for a period of 12 months commencing from Dec 1, 2024 to Nov 30, 2025 for an additional second contract value of RM59.85mil.

Datasonic said the contracts are expected to contribute positively towards the future earnings and net assets per share of the group for the financial year ending March 31, 2025 and the financial year thereafter.
