Eco World International director Benjamin Teo resigns to avoid conflict of interest

KUALA LUMPUR: Eco World International Bhd (EWI) has announced the resignation of Benjamin Teo Jong Hian as a non-independent, non-executive director.

The property developer, in a filing with Bursa Malaysia, said Teo, 35, resigned to avoid any potential conflict of interest due to the similar nature of the business between EWI and Paramount Corp Bhd.

He was appointed to the board of EWI on Aug 7, 2024 as non-independent non-executive director.

Teo is currently the deputy group CEO, executive director, and a major shareholder of Paramount.
