Binastra's 3Q net profit more than doubles to RM24mil

KUALA LUMPUR: Binastra Corp Bhd’s net profit more than doubled to RM24.2mil in the third quarter ended Oct 31 (3Q25) compared with RM11.2mil in the same corresponding quarter a year ago.

Its revenue surged to RM265.9mil against RM120.9mil while earnings per share rose to 2.23 sen from 2.94 sen a year earlier.

The increase in the group's revenue and profit is mainly due to the construction segment.

In the nine months to Oct 31, Binastra's pre-tax profit and profit after tax and minority interests surged by 151.0% and 156.6% to RM87.3mil and RM65.2mil respectively.

It said the strong growth was built on the back of a 150.7% increase in revenue to RM676.4mil, mainly attributed to higher construction work activities and the commencement of nine new projects during the current financial year.

“We are proud to announce a record-high financial performance for 9MFY25, driven by our strong ability to replenish and grow our construction order book.

“With our proven strong track record in the construction industry, we believe more opportunities lie ahead. We remain open to exploring untapped areas to broaden our horizon as a dedicated pure-play construction outfit,” managing director Datuk Jackson Tan Kak Seng said.

Binastra recently announced its 14th new contract in early December 2024, bringing its financial year-to-date contract wins to RM3.1bil.

With a total outstanding order book of RM3.7bil across 22 ongoing projects, the group ensures stable earnings visibility for the next five financial years.
