Uzma secures RM44mil job from Samaiden


KUALA LUMPUR: Uzma Bhd’s direct wholly-owned subsidiary, Uzma Environergy Sdn Bhd, has been awarded a contract worth RM44.15mil from Samaiden Sdn Bhd.

It said this involved sub-contract works for a 13.42 megawatts solar photovoltaic plant located in Sungai Petani, Kedah.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Uzma said the project will be developed under the Corporate Green Power Programme administered by the Energy Commission.

“The scope of the works comprises the development of the solar generating facility, including the power generation company’s (Genco) interconnection facility, interconnector, and the Genco works as defined in the connection agreement entered into between Tenaga Nasional Bhd and the Genco.

“The contract duration is eight months 14 days, and the scheduled commercial operation date is Aug 30, 2025,” it said. — Bernama
