Non-interested directors reject GDA-MAHB deal

Non-interested directors deem the deal “unfair” and “unreasonable”.

PETALING JAYA: Shareholders of Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) have received conflicting advice about the RM11 per share share takeover offer tabled by Gateway Development Alliance Sdn Bhd (GDA), torn between suggestions of the appointed independent advisor and non-interested directors.

As expected by some observers, the non-interested directors have urged shareholders of the airport operator to reject the offer, as they deem the deal “unfair” and “unreasonable”, according to an MAHB filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday.
