PETALING JAYA: Dagang Nexchange Bhd’s (Dnex) wholly-owned subsidiary, Dagang Net Technologies Sdn Bhd, is tying up with Conex SAS to streamline European Union (EU) trade compliance for Malaysian exporters.
In a statement, Dnex said the collaboration aims to assist exporters in fulfilling the EU’s Import Control System 2 (ICS2) requirements, which mandate pre-notification of goods to Customs authorities before shipment to the EU.
“Under this partnership, Dnex and Conex will jointly develop a new service expected to be available by March 2025.
“This service will enable Malaysian exporters to electronically submit electronically the necessary ICS2 information directly to the central EU system for risk assessment, simplifying the process and ensuring their compliance.”
Conex, a French company and leading EU information technology service provider in customs procedure management solutions with a strong track record in customs and security declaration transmission, will leverage its expertise and platform to facilitate the seamless integration of the entry summary declaration submission process.
“This partnership will benefit Malaysian exporters by reducing administrative burdens, by automating the ICS2 submission process.”
Dnex said the partnership will also minimise delays and disruptions, ensuring timely and accurate data submission. The partnership will also improve trade efficiency by streamlining trade operations with the EU.
“This partnership will equip Malaysian businesses with the necessary tools to navigate EU regulations and maintain smooth trade operations,” said Dnex executive chairman Tan Sri Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Mohamed Tahir Jamalullail.
Bertrand Gruson, chief executive officer of Conex, said: “We are pleased to support Malaysian businesses in meeting the growing demand for compliance in international trade.”
