Trading ideas: BHIC, Nestcon, Classita, Parlo, MMAG, Datasonic


KUALA LUMPUR: Stocks that could see trading interest today include Nestcon Bhd, Boustead Heavy Industries Corporation Bhd (BHIC), Classita Holdings Bhd, Parlo Bhd, MMAG Holdings Bhd and Datasonic Group Bhd.

Nestcon's wholly owned subsidiary, Nestcon Infra Sdn Bhd, will develop a 14.99 MWac solar plant in Bongawan, Sabah, following approval from the Energy Commission of Sabah on Dec 19, 2024.

BHIC has sold its 2.55 million shares in Contraves Advanced Devices Sdn Bhd (CAD) to Rheinmetall AG for RM54mil. Shareholders approved the disposal during an extraordinary general meeting after negotiations started in December 2023.

Classita plans to diversify into property investment and trading to improve long-term financial performance. The move includes acquiring 18 retail units in Kajang for RM17mil, with an expected annual rental return of 4% to 6%.

Parlo has proposed its share capital by RM42mil to clear its accumulated losses. This will leave the company with RM19.93mil in accumulated earnings. Parlo also intends to consolidate shares, combining every three existing shares into one.

MMAG’s subsidiary, MJets Air Sdn Bhd, is acquiring its seventh aircraft, a Boeing B737-400SF Converted Freighter, from JPA No.161 Co Ltd for RM20.76mil cash.

Datasonic announced that Azlan Abdul Kadir is no longer a substantial shareholder after his vehicle, Demi Mekar Sdn Bhd, sold 20 million shares, or 0.72%, on Dec 11 and 12.
