Sunway Group appoints new deputy president


PETALING JAYA: Sunway Group has appointed Datuk Mohd Anuar Taib as deputy president with effect from Jan 2, 2025.Anuar, who has served on the board of Sunway as an independent non-executive director since July 7, 2023, will oversee the group’s core businesses including Sunway Property, Sunway Malls and Sunway Healthcare, among others.

“Datuk Anuar is a highly respected corporate leader with deep experience on the boards of publicly listed companies and vast expertise spanning national, regional and global markets.”

Anuar was most recently group chief executive at Sapura Energy Bhd, where he navigated one of the largest corporate debt restructuring exercises in Malaysia, turning around the organisation’s strategic, operational and capability building performance as well as streamlining its global footprint.
