MAHB takeover offer deadline extended


KUALA LUMPUR: The closing date and time for acceptance of the offer by the consortium Gateway Development Alliance Sdn Bhd (GDA) for the shares that are not already owned by the offerors have been extended to Jan 17 from Jan 8.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, AmInvestment Bank – on behalf of the offeror – said that except for the closing date, all other details and the terms and conditions of the offer remained unchanged.

As at yesterday, the total MAHB shares held by the joint offerors and the joint ultimate offerers amounted to 1.17 billion shares, which is equivalent to a 70.08%.

To recap, Khazanah Nasional Bhd, together with the Employees Provident Fund and GIP Aurea Pte Ltd, formed a consortium called GDA and made an offer to take MAHB private at RM11 each.

MAHB closed down four sen to RM10.48 with 3.61 million shares traded.
