UUE Holdings gets RM37mil job extension


PETALING JAYA: UUE Holdings Bhd’s unit Kum Fatt Engineering Sdn Bhd has received an extension and renewal of its contracts with Komasi Engineering Sdn Bhd, totalling RM36.54mil.

These are for the installation, testing and commissioning of underground cables and accessories of 33 kilovolts (kV) and 11kV aluminium XLPE type, the company said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

The estimated contract sum for the extension of contract is RM22mil until Oct 8 (for the 33kV type), while the estimated contract sum for the renewal of contract is RM14.54mil until Dec 5 (11kV), it said.

Both contracts are valid until the said dates unless earlier terminated in accordance with the contract.

“These contracts are expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets per share of UUE over the duration of the contracts. It will not have any effect on the share capital, gearing and shareholding structure of the group,” it said.
