Uzma gets RM100mil contract extension from PETRONAS Carigali


KUALA LUMPUR: Uzma Bhd's subsidiary, Setegap Ventures Petroleum Sdn Bhd (SVP), has received a RM100mil contract extension from PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd (PCSB).

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Uzma announced that the contract extension is for the provision of coiled tubing and related services to PCSB – East Region.

Uzma said the duration of the contract extension became effective on Dec 1, 2024, and remained valid for one year until Nov 30, 2025.

It said the contract was originally awarded on Nov 2, 2015. The first and second extensions were granted on Nov 24, 2020, and Dec 7, 2022, respectively.

Uzma expects the contract to contribute positively towards the earnings and net assets per share of the company for the financial year ending June 30, 2025, and onwards until the expiry of the contract.
