KUALA LUMPUR: Fajarbaru Builder Group Bhd, which recently unveiled a new logo featuring the acronym FBG as part of its rebranding exercise, is charting a bold new course that reflects its vision to embrace agility, sustainability, and excellence across its diversified businesses.
Its group executive chairman Tan Sri Chan Kong Choy said the rebranding to FBG, which was officially completed on Jan 15, symbolises the promise of a brighter future, where growth and sustainability “go hand in hand”.
“This change is more than just a new name; it reflects our unwavering ambition to be more agile and adaptable, to embrace a relentless drive for excellence, and to evolve while remaining firmly rooted in our purpose,” he said during FBG’s business associates appreciation dinner.
Meanwhile, group chief executive officer Datuk Seri Eric Kuan Khian Leng explained that the rationale and design of the new brand identity were crafted to reflect FBG’s aspirations and values.
“As we embarked on the new chapter of our growth plan, we needed a stronger brand identity that resonates with our aspiration to become the market leader the industry deserves and to build a more sustainable future for our younger generations,” he said.
Kuan explained that the new logo, with curved edge of the letter “F” represents flexibility and its “pro-business nature”, while the two arrows in the letter “B” highlight a unified pursuit of progress, with green symbolising growth and sustainability.
“The letter ‘G,’ intentionally designed to resemble a leaf, embodies our respect for nature and reinforces our dedication to sustainability and environmental responsibility across all our ventures,” he said.
The group also drew inspiration from the hummingbird, with Kuan noting that the arrow in the logo represents motion that is “swift, purposeful, and ever-changing.”
“Like the hummingbird, we are resilient, agile and determined to navigate uncharted paths with confidence and intent,” he said.
“Our new tagline, The Makers of Tomorrow, emphasises our responsibility to ensure that the work we do today serves as the foundation for a brighter tomorrow.”FBG, which will celebrate its 50th anniversary next year, is looking forward to continued growth with the support of its business partners.
Chan said 2024 was a remarkable year for the group, with significant achievements in both its construction and property development segments.
“In the construction segment, we ended the year on a high note, securing seven major contracts, including three from the Australian Department of Defence. These accomplishments reflect our team’s dedication and expertise in delivering high-value projects, laying a solid foundation for continued success,” he said.
On the property development segment, Chan highlighted FBG’s partnership with the Penang Development Corp to develop the 51.2-acre Medi-City project in Batu Kawan, which will focus on healthcare infrastructure.
“This project highlights our commitment to building a comprehensive healthcare hub and strengthening FBG’s reputation in healthcare infrastructure,” he added.
