THE deluge of data centre (DC) announcements in Peninsular Malaysia is easing off as companies seek to begin their projects, but the buzz is just getting started in Sarawak.

Conditions seem ideal in the state whose vast rivers will not only provide water for cooling purposes, but also form the backbone for Sarawak’s hydro electric power. It is the only region in this part of the world with that level of hydroelectric power resources.
