Roszalena says the company's new products take into account the way many urban Malaysians live.

Swedish home furnishing store, Ikea, recently unveiled an extensive facelift of its store in Damansara, Petaling Jaya. The renovated store features more localised products to make Ikea more relevant to the local market.

Ikea Damansara store manager Roszalena Mashrudin said the renowned home furnishing retail chain had commissioned a study, dubbed the Life@Home survery, in 2012 to uncover insights into the real life living situation of Malaysians to cater better to their needs.
