Classic Malay staples, rice sets served up in the highlands


Medan Selera at Level G, SkyAvenue, is presenting ‘Setalam Ramadan’ meals in a dulang or serving tray, which are designed for sharing.

RESORTS World Genting is focused on bringing back classic Malay staples this Ramadan.

Resorts World Awana is presenting the “Jom Makan Awana” Ramadan buffet where dishes such as kambing bakar, rendang tok and sup aneka are being featured.

The buffet is priced at RM128 per adult and RM70 per child.

It is served from 6.30pm to 9.30pm.

Over at Jom Makan Street Food at Level 4, SkyAvenue is offering a rice-based combination set priced at RM32 per person.

Traditional chicken flavours such as Ayam Masak Merah, Ayam Goreng Berempah or Ayam Panggang Madu are to be expected.

Each set, available up to 9pm, includes a drink and dates.

Meanwhile at Medan Selera at Level G of SkyAvenue, there is “Setalam Ramadan” set meals that are served in a dulang as the meal is designed for sharing.

Grilled Tilapia with Sambal, Ikan Keli Masak Lemak Cili Padi and Kerabu Selun as well as iced lemon tea and dessert are among the dishes.

One set serves two and is priced at RM59 per set, available from 5pm to 9pm daily.

The Ramadan promotions at Resorts World Awana, Jom Makan Street Food and Medan Selera are available until April 21.

Meanwhile, The Olive at Lobby Floor, Genting Grand, is also presenting rice-based set meals priced at RM68nett per set, inclusive of a drink.

The options are Nasi Tomato with Ayam Masak Merah or Nasi Minyak with Ayam Percik.

Each set comes with a serving of vegetables and Dalca Kambing.

The Olive’s Ramadan set is available up to 11pm, until April 30.

For those in a hurry, head to the Junction at First World Hotel’s Lobby Floor for its “Grab and Go Meals” which is available until April 21.

Priced from RM22nett, each set meal comes with Malay kuih, kurma and a drink.

The options, available on a rotation basis include Nasi Hujan Panas Kari Daging, Nasi Ayam Percik, nasi tomato, nasi briyani or murtabak.
