The Nasi Lemak Itik Kerutuk set.

THIS lunar new year, eatXdignity Cafe is offering a local dish called Nasi Lemak Itik Kerutuk.

The cafe is a transformational enterprise by non-governmental organisation Dignity for Children Foundation.

As the duck symbolises fertility to the Chinese, it makes sense to use it in the creation of an auspicious dish during a season when happiness and prosperity are ushered in.

The organically raised ducks are antibiotics-free and sourced directly from Dignity’s Farm in Bentong, Pahang.

The Nasi Lemak Itik Kerutuk is available for dine-in and delivery until Feb 8, priced at RM24 per set excluding delivery charges.

Dignity’s other transformational, enterprise bakeXdignity, offers the classic lunar new year staples of cookies and tarts.

The bakery offers three types of cookies — lychee blossom, salted egg yolk and signature chocolate.

Also available are florentines and pineapple tarts.

The baked goods come in small and large jars or as corporate gift sets.

The small corporate gift set (RM88) includes three small canisters of cookies and one brocade ang pow.

The large corporate set (RM158) comprises three big canisters of cookies, an envelope of blessings or three sets of ang pow packets.

Funds raised from the sales of the baked goods and nasi lemak will be used to sustain the transformational enterprises and skills training for Dignity’s students working at the cafe and bakery.

The cafe is located at 25-G, Jalan 11/48a, Sentul Raya Boulevard, Kuala Lumpur.
