If you’re a fan of gourmet experiences, there’s plenty to look forward to this month with the launch of GastroMonth Kuala Lumpur and Penang 2023.

Running from now till 30 June 2023, the inaugural month-long affair launched by FunNow Malaysia will feature over 40 eateries from the Michelin Guide Kuala Lumpur and Penang. All the eateries have put together special menus and food experiences curated especially for the festival.

Participating restaurants include all four of the one-Michelin starred eateries in Malaysia, namely Dewakan and DC By Darren Chin in Kuala Lumpur and Au Jardin and Auntie Gaik Lean’s Old School Eatery in Penang as well as numerous Bib Gourmand (value-for-money) haunts like Aliyaa and Congkak in KL and Sardaarji and Tek Sen in Penang.

Michelin Selected participating restaurants on the other hand include KL’s Eat and Cook, Beta KL, Passage Thru India and Penang’s Jawi House and Gen.

Some of the meals to look forward to include a specially curated GastroMonth meal at Dewakan with seats at the Test Kitchen. Interestingly, seats have never been available at Dewakan’s famed private kitchen before. The menu includes interesting-sounding options like a caviar dish inspired by Joel Robuchon.
