Resort picks Chilean wines for house selection

Resorts World Genting’s new house wines.

Resorts World Genting (RWG) has announced its new house wines are by Hacienda Araucano, marking the first time a Chilean wine has been selected.

Hacienda Araucano is a distinguished winery located near Lolol in the Colchagua Valley of Chile.

The vineyard benefits from Pacific Ocean breezes and produces premium wines that have garnered international acclaim.

The new house wines include François Lurton Hacienda Araucano Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon, cultivated on virgin terroir of granite schist soil.

The grapes are harvested in crates, plot-by-plot selection, with double sorting on arrival to remove impurities.

The result is a beautiful ruby colour with blue touches.

Aromas driven by ripe fruit, particularly blackberries and cherries with vanilla and toasted notes round out the aromatic spectrum.

The wine is full and smooth at the front, bearing witness to a warm vintage, with a lingering, aromatic finish of ripe fruit.

Humo Blanco Lolol Valley Chardonnay – RWG’s house white wine – was selected for its impeccable balance and mineral character.

This chardonnay offers lemony fruit notes with a nutty finish, reflecting the unique qualities of the Lolol Valley.

Une Rosé Sparkling Wine is made from 100% Pinot Noir.

It promises a refreshing and elegant experience, perfect for celebrations and special moments.

To celebrate the introduction of these wines, RWG hosted two exclusive wine dinners at Genting Rouge with a Latin American menu that was given an Asian twist by acclaimed Peruvian chef Daniel Chavez.

Another highlight of the evening was the presence of wine connoisseur Jonathan Dahan.

The French national with extensive experience in the wine industry, was on hand to meet guests at both the dinners to speak about the wines selected by RWG as well as the vineyard and terroir of Hacienda Araucano.
