Local brands team up to turn familiar treats into ice cream flavours

Chocolate Indulgence is the ice cream version of Secret Recipe’s classic cake.

Homegrown ice cream brand Inside Scoop is starting the National Day festivities on a sweet note with limited-edition ice cream flavours.

Its “Lokal Legends” range is based on homegrown brands Beryl’s, Secret Recipe and Farm Fresh’s best-selling products.

The range offers Malaysians a fresh way to enjoy their favourite treats, while paying homage to the familiar tastes.

The collaboration also marks the first time most of the collaborators will see their products transformed into ice cream flavours.

Farm Fresh’s Choco Malt uses a local chocolate malt drink that evokes childhood nostalgia. Topped with an additional chocolate malt crumble for an extra crunch, it delivers a comforting experience.

Secret Recipe’s Chocolate Indulgence features chunks of rich chocolate sponge cake stirred in a decadent dark chocolate concoction, with swirls of creamy custard ice cream.

Beryl’s Tiramisu Almond Chocolate combines the velvety, smooth tiramisu with rich, fudgy cocoa and toothsome honey-roasted almonds.

The flavour outcome of Inside Scoop’s tie-up with Zus Coffee will be released soon.

As a bonus, single-scoop ice cream will be served with a customised cup sleeve based on the individual brand flavour, featuring the brand’s colours.

“We’re thrilled to celebrate National Day with other Malaysian brands Beryl’s, Farm Fresh, Secret Recipe and Zus Coffee,” said Inside Scoop co-founder Edmund Tan.

“This collaboration is our tribute to the ingenuity of Malaysian businesses and the unity between us as we draw inspiration from the flavours that define our nation.

“We are excited to share these specially crafted creations with our customers and invite everyone to join us in commemorating our ‘Jiwa Merdeka’ this year.”

The new flavours are available at all Inside Scoop outlets across Malaysia until Sept 16.
