Culinary collaboration celebrates heritage, creativity, friendship

TWO Klang Valley hotel restaurants are collaborating to gather their beloved recipes in a delightful celebration of culinary traditions and friendship.

The promotion by Lady Yi’s Tea House at Four Points by Sheraton Kuala Lumpur Chinatown and Madam Lee Nyonya Private Dining at Palm Garden Hotel, Putrajaya, will be ongoing until Oct 31.

The collaboration is depicted as Lady Yi paying a visit to Madam Lee, a cherished friend of her grandmother, bearing gifts.

Lady Yi brings her best desserts to the gathering, while Madam Lee prepares her signature dishes.

This visit symbolises a beautiful exchange of culinary heritage, where both share and incorporate each other’s recipes into their own menus.

Guests of both outlets can now experience a delightful fusion of Lady Yi’s and Madam Lee’s signature dishes, offering a unique dining experience that honours tradition and creativity.

“This collaboration is a tribute to the rich culinary heritage and the bonds that food can create,” said Lady Yi’s Tea House pastry chef Gilbert Low.

“We are thrilled to bring a little bit of Lady Yi’s charm to Madam Lee’s and vice-versa.”

Palm Garden Hotel executive chef Irwan Sutan said, “This collaboration will elevate our diners culinary experience with the authentic flavours at Madam Lee and fine Peranakan delicacies from Lady Yi’s Tea House.”

The collaboration features a range of special menu items that highlight the best of both restaurants, featuring the intricacies of Nyonya cuisine, presented in charming ways.

Guests at Lady Yi’s Tea House can savour a special edition of Lady Yi’s Tea House’s Peranakan Affair Afternoon Tea served with a twist.

The afternoon tea set incorporates recipes of three time-honoured Peranakan dishes which are among the popular offerings at Madam Lee Nyonya Private Dining.

Elevating the afternoon experience are the Curry Laksa Smoked Duck (inspired by the Nyonya Curry Mee), Tamarind Prawn Mantao and the Chicken Kapitan Pie Tee.

The fusion of flavours at Lady Yi’s Tea House can be savoured at RM168+ for two persons and RM98+ per person, from 2pm to 6pm daily. For reservations, call 03-2035 7333.

At Madam Lee Nyonya Private Dining, desserts from Lady Yi are a delightful addition to the menu.

Guests can enjoy three delicious desserts during the promotion.

Jambu Merah Asam Boi is a mini sweet tartlet which Pink Guava Curd infused with Asam Boi.

Tangy Ong Lai is a beautiful combination of Vanilla Mousse, Almond Dacquoise with Sichuan Pepper and Pineapple Jelly.

Earl Grey Mousse features light Earl Grey Mousse with Raspberry Gel and Chocolate Sponge.

For lunch or dinner, an accumulative spend of every RM50 gets one complimentary Lady Yi’s cake, up to a maximum of six pieces.

Signature Nyonya dishes from Madam Lee Nyonya’s menu, range in price from RM16 to RM88 per portion.
