Mumbai’s Victorian Gothic and Art Deco buildings win Unesco status

The Art Deco buildings in Mumbai – believed to be the world’s second largest collection after Miami, United States – were added to Unesco’s (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation) World Heritage List alongside the city’s better-known Victorian Gothic architecture late June.

The decision was approved at a Unesco meeting in the Bahraini capital Manama.
