Obama says book coming in November two weeks after US election

Former US president Barack Obama has announced the publication in November of the first half of his memoirs A Promised Land - two weeks after the election pitting Donald Trump against Joe Biden.

Publisher Penguin Random House said the book will be released in 25 languages simultaneously on Nov 17.

"There's no feeling like finishing a book, and I'm proud of this one," Obama tweeted.
